Abygail R. Waggoner
They call me Astro Abby
Post-doctoral Researcher at the
University of Wisconsin-Madison
My name is Abygail (Abby) Waggoner, and I am post-doc at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I study chemistry in planet forming regions, known as protoplanetary disks.
I completed my bachelor's degree at Ball State University (chirp chirp!), majoring in chemistry. I completed my Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of Virginia in May 2024. My work focuses on computational models of chemical evolution, radio observations of cold gas (ALMA, SMA), and infrared observations of hot gas and ices (JWST) in protoplanetary disks.
In this website, explore my journey as an astrochemist, where I discuss my research experience, publications, presentations, and outreach experience.
