PhD Candidate at the University of Virginia,
Department of Chemistry
NSF Graduate Research Fellow
My name is Abygail (Abby) Waggoner, and I am a graduate student at the University of Virginia. I study chemistry in planet forming regions, known as protoplanetary disks.
I completed my bachelor's degree at Ball State University (chirp chirp!), majoring in chemistry. Currently, I am in my final year of graduate school at the University of Virginia, Department of Chemistry. My work focuses primarily on theoretical astrochemistry in protoplatenary disks, but I also work with radio observations (ALMA, SMA) of protoplanetary disks.
In this website, explore my journey as an astrochemist, where I discuss my research experience, publications, presentations, and outreach experience.
